David Andrews is a native Nashvillian, who in 2003, chased a lifelong dream of moving to New York City and attending culinary school. After graduating, David spent three and a half years in the kitchen of famed New York restaurant, Gotham Bar & Grill. According to David, it was one of the most intense, fantastically-creative environments to learn your craft. In 2009, while at Xie Xie in Midtown Manhattan, David’s dessert - the 1000 year old ice cream sandwich - was named one of the best desserts of the year by both Time Out New York and New York Magazine.David joined the Kimberly Hotel as the Executive Pastry Chef in the fall of 2010. By the following spring, David was elevated to Executive Chef of the Hotel where he remained for the next six years.In the summer of 2016, David realized he had accomplished his goals in New York. He felt it was time for him to set out on his own to achieve his lifelong dream of opening a bakery and cafe in his hometown of Nashville.
